Hello. Someone I know has a couple Mini Coopers and his battery has died from sitting a couple of times. After putting in a new battery in the transmission was not shifting correctly at all. He took it to the dealer, and they charged him $700 to recalibrate it. They said every time the battery goes completely dead that this recalibration has to be done, and they are the only ones who can do it. Does this sound accurate?
