Found information on activating FTP in Chrome browser: Chrome users who require FTP support can enable an experimental (temporary) flag to restore protocol support.
1. Enter chrome: // flags in the address bar of your browser.
2. Type FTP into the search engine .
3. Change the Enable FTP URL Support flag to Enabled instead of Default.
4. Restart Chrome.
